Consciousness Arts Announces Recipient of Yearly
Company Donation to be Award in 2006
San Francisco, California April, 2006 -- President
and Founder of Consciousness Arts, Kerstin Sjoquist announced today her
intent to award Gifts in Kind her company’s annual donation and
product support for 2006.
“Gifts In Kind is a non-profit that receives donated products from companies such as ours and distributes them to needy non-profit organizations,” stated Sjoquist. “We donated 20% of the proceeds of our Bliss Trip CD’s to the organization to give to women's and homeless shelters.”
“I liked the idea because I was contacted last year by a women's shelter in Minnesota, who asked me to donate some of our Bliss Trip CD’s,” continued Sjoquist. “They stayed in touch to let me know the CD’s worked very well with their women and teenagers. The mom’s loved the relaxation the CDs provided – something every mother can use more of, I’m sure -- and the girls liked them so much they asked to do them again! I’m a firm believer that no matter what your life circumstances are, there is room for more joy, and Bliss Trips give people the opportunity to create some peace for themselves in an otherwise chaotic world.”
Sjoquist concluded, “Gifts In Kind provides this service and our donations on a much larger scale. I wanted Consciousness Arts to make a bigger impact over a broader geographical area.”

Guided Imagination Specialist and Wellness Consultant Kerstin Sjoquist
has been involved in the area of personal growth as a means of exploration
since the late 1980s. Along the way she began to facilitate classes and
workshops for groups, sharing the techniques and knowledge that she had
found useful in her own process. In 2001 she formed Consciousness Arts
in order to formalize her facilitation practice, and to work with people
one-on-one.
Kerstin is certified and registered as a Clinical Hypnotherapist by the American College of Hypnotherapy, a division of the American Institute of Health Care Professionals, Inc. In 2004 Kerstin was recognized for her work in empowering women to make the transition from welfare to work from the Women In Community Service Lifeskills Training Program.
